Plan Examiner Prerequisite Certified Fire Inspector II or training/experience.A completed application and test fee is required two weeks before the test can be taken. Proof of prior certification as a Fire Inspector II is also required before a candidate is eligible to take plan examiner. In lieu of Inspector II candidates shall attest to having training/experience reviewing and approving plans specific to fire protection systems, means of egress, are or review of architectural drawings. NOTE: This is considered an advanced level certification in which passage of the skill portion is greater for candidates who have had training and experience in conducing plan reviews.
